Step back in time and experience the skills that helped early settlers and Revolutionary War soldiers survive! Join a park Naturalist at the Interpretive Center for a hands-on journey into the past as you learn a variety of traditional frontier skills in the cool shade of the canyon rim. πΏπ
Practice making cordage from natural fibers π§Ά, discover the art of creating fire with flint and steel, and watch a fascinating demonstration of “fire-cake” being cooked over hot coals just as soldiers would have prepared it during the Revolutionary War.
