π₯ποΈ Frontier Skills at the Canyon Rim ποΈπ₯
Travel back in time at Cloudland Canyon State Park and discover some of the skills used by soldiers and early Americans! Join a Naturalist at the Interpretive Center for this hands-on, two-hour program featuring traditional frontier techniques.
Participants will learn how to make cordage from natural fibers, practice starting a fire using flint and steel, and watch a demonstration of “fire-cake” cooked over hot coals, just as soldiers would have prepared it during the Revolutionary War.
