Take your geology knowledge to the next level with Going Deep: Geology of the Canyon Bottom! Join a Georgia State Parks Naturalist for an advanced exploration of the fascinating rock layers and minerals that make up the lower reaches of Cloudland Canyon.
After meeting at the Interpretive Center, participants will drive to the Lower Sitton Gulch Trailhead, where a moderate one-mile hike leads through the canyon floor. Along the way, you'll discover how millions of years of geologic processes shaped the dramatic landscape and uncover the stories hidden within the ancient rock formations.
