Ever wondered how early American settlers survived using only the resources around them? Join a Georgia State Park Naturalist for Frontier Skills at the Canyon Rim and discover the hands-on skills that helped shape our nation's history.
Learn traditional techniques while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Cloudland Canyon State Park!
During this interactive program, you'll:
πͺ’ Practice making cordage from natural plant fibers
π₯ Learn how to start a fire using flint and steel
π Watch a demonstration of "fire-cake" being cooked over hot coals—the same way Revolutionary War soldiers prepared their meals!
